Location made for easy sight-seeing, especially with travel cards included. Could be noisy at night with a location so close to a busy station, but this was not unbearable and ease of travel made it acceptable. Breakfast included a good range of food, which suited everyone in our family group. Staff were helpful and responded well to our requests. Inter City are a reliable brand and we use them whenever we travel in Germany - not the most exciting hotel chain, but the inclusion of a local travel card for each city has meant we can make the most of our time sightseeing in a city without the hassle of having to work out travel tarrifs.

I have stayed here many times and it is a warm, welcoming place. But I was especially grateful for their kindness this year. I had booked a room for two weeks, as a friend of mine was in failing health. He died only four days after I arrived and the hosts were kind enough to give me a refund when I felt I had to leave Berlin, a city I love but had become very sad very suddenly. I will be back and I will never forget the courtesy and human understanding of my hosts at a terrible time.

I am a Gold Member in their chain group and I booked a room with 2 adults + a kid to Intercity Hotel Ostbahnhof Berlin with a sofa bed. When I arrive the hotel at 20:00 the sofa bed was not ready in the room. There were not even pillow and sheets for the bed. I called reception to ask for a help but the answer was sorry I was alona in the hotel so no chance. You have to wait until 22.30 because my colleague will come up at that time. Then I asked for sheets and pillow and I did the sofa bed my self. I asked for still water and the answer was still same. Sorry I was alone and cannot get it from the storage. Furthermore I am writing this complain from Hotel lobby because they do not have a proper internet in their rooms as well.I always prefer to stay in your Deutsche hospitaly group hotels mostly in Steingenberger but this would be the last one if this unacceptable attitude of the hotel not going to change. I strongly request an apology and a make up for this terrible experience in Intercity Hotel Berlin. I will for sure never prefer this hotel again. I am strongly expecting a hear from responsible person.

The staff are wonderful and nice at this Hotel. Paetz was extra helpful at places to go. The location is great and you get what you pay for. Hotel is basic, but clean and I slept well at night. I would for sure stay here again. Nicole from Canada

Its an average mid-tier hotel right in Belin Ostbahnhof station. The rooms are as old as you would expect, but everything works. soundproofing could be improved - at some point in the night I thought someone is being killed across the hallway only to realize that they are just too loud at 3am. Location is what you pay for here.
